Thanks for your tips on where not to stay. I’m going to Florianopolis in November with my bf. Do you have any suggestions as to where we could stay? We will only be there for 4 days so we would like to be in the center of things, restaurants, bars, the beach, etc.

Or you could try Circuit also in Lagoa do Conceicao it has the best sound system in the island, top Djs every weekend and beautiful bar girls serving up cool beers and expertly mixed cocktails.

Being from Antwerp, I concur: Floripa definitely shares several characteristics with my hometown. Both are relaxed, easygoing places with great nightlife and plenty of things to do.

Perhaps the only thing that is slightly different is the quality of the beaches: St. Anneke (for those in the know) does not stack up very well when compared to Praia Mole

Great video, captures the Floripa-vibe really well …

hey whats up in floripa.
adam watson professional photographer here and I was to say the least very impressed by Floripa nd for that matter Lagoa is a hip cool rockin place and Rico’s bar is super cool and stylish with the right bits of everything going on.
So is it safe in Floripa???hey if you act like an idiot anywhere its going to be hell for you so if you take the attitude of being c ool at all times and not being a quack then rock on all is good otherwise idtiot attract idiots as far as ime concerned.
go to floripa its super cool and very laid back.
